Mike Massaro speaks the international language of money. Since 2013, Massaro has been the CEO of Flywire, a Boston-based digital payments company that makes it easier to conduct transactions across national borders and currencies. Flywire focuses on the education, health care, travel, and business-to-business industries, supporting over 140 currencies and catering to institutions such as the University of Pittsburgh, AdventHealth, and AppsFlyer. Under Massaro, the company has expanded in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific regions, and raised $250 million through its initial public offering in 2021. Prior to founding Flywire, Massaro worked at mobile software company Carrier IQ as the vice president of strategic accounts and corporate development. He earned his bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Babson College.
