Corey Thomas is CEO and chairman of the Boston cybersecurity firm Rapid7, which makes tools that help more than 10,000 companies — from Domino’s Pizza to Discovery Inc. — reduce, monitor, and address security risks. Under Thomas, Rapid7 went public in 2015, and has since acquired several smaller companies to become a powerhouse in threat intelligence, ransomware prevention, and digital forensics. In February 2023,Thomas was appointed to the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee, which advises the federal government on maintaining communication links during crises. He is also chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston board of directors and board member of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Thomas received a bachelor’s in engineering in computer science and electrical engineering from Vanderbilt University and a master of business administration from Harvard Business School.

Corey Thomas was also on the 2022 Tech Power Players list.
