Youngme Moon is the Donald K. David Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, focusing on research that sits at the intersection of technology, branding innovation, and culture. She has written and sold more than 2 million case studies on businesses ranging from the language-learning app Duolingo to apparel brand Bombas to ride-hailing giant Uber, breaking down their strengths and weaknesses as ventures and illuminating what they mean for modern culture. Her case studies informed her 2010 book, “Different: Escaping the Competitive Herd,” about how originality is an asset in business. Moon also co-hosts the TED current events podcast “After Hours,” which tackles issues from “woke capitalism” to airline mergers to wage compression. Moon sits on the boards of several companies, including Warby Parker, Sweetgreen, Mastercard, and Whoop. Moon received a bachelor of arts from Yale University and a master of arts and a doctorate from Stanford University.

Youngme Moon was also on the 2022 Tech Power Players list.
