Following the company founder as its CEO is never easy. But since succeeding Brian Halligan at HubSpot in 2021, Yamini Rangan has led the software powerhouse to new heights, targeting larger firms and introducing features to help HubSpot customers charge and collect for their services online. She is also spearheading ChatSpot, a new tool that integrates the artificial intelligence system ChatGPT with HubSpot’s data insights. Rangan was previously chief customer officer, overseeing marketing, sales, customer success, and operations teams at HubSpot, which helps companies establish relationships with customers through specialized marketing software. Rangan sits on the board of directors at Splunk, a cybersecurity company. She earned a BS in computer engineering from the Bharathiar University in India, an MS in computer engineering from Clemson University, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
