David Frankel, a cofounder and general partner at Founder Collective, has an eye for seed-stage technology companies. Frankel was the lead investor for the Cambridge- and New York-based venture firm in breakout companies such as ticket marketplace SeatGeek and online pharmacy PillPack (which was later acquired by Amazon). Before Founder Collective, Frankel cofounded Internet Solutions, an Internet service provider in Africa that was later acquired by Dimension Data, and made seed investments in companies such as the recommendation engine Hunch, later acquired by eBay, and TrialPay, later snatched up by Visa. He holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and a master of business administration from Harvard University.

David Frankel was also on the 2022 Tech Power Players list.
