Why a Tech Power Player? For leadership in venture capital, startups, and the arts.

Social change is easy to talk about. Risking money on it, not so much. Fialkow has invested in companies such PathAI, which uses artificial intelligence to improve health care, and Flashfood, which works with grocery stores to fight food waste. In 2017, Fialkow was one of the producers of the Netflix documentary “Icarus,” about a sports doping scandal in Russia. The film won an Academy Award. He sits on the leadership council of the educational nonprofit Facing History & Ourselves, the board of the Pan-Mass Challenge bike-a-thon, and the investment advisory committee of the venture capital fund The Engine. Fialkow has a bachelor of arts in fine and studio arts from Colgate University and a Juris Doctor from Boston College.
