Why a Tech Power Player? For demonstrating a commitment to teaching new generations of burgeoning entrepreneurs.

Bill Aulet is the managing director of the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship, where he demystifies the craft of starting a successful business through college-wide education and programming. He is also the Ethernet Inventors Professor of the Practice of Entrepreneurship. Aulet wrote the 2013 book “Disciplined Entrepreneurship: 24 Steps to a Successful Startup,” the framework of which has inspired leaders of companies from the pet care startup PawedIn to the Nigeria-based recycling startup Wecyclers. Aulet came to academia following his own experiences with entrepreneurship, holding senior roles at technology companies such as Cambridge Decision Dynamics, SensAble Technologies, and Viisage Technology. Aulet earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences from Harvard University and a master’s degree in business and entrepreneurial marketing from MIT.
